America Online has made accessing parts of the Internet easy for people who need to use dial up connections and in this they serve a select neophyte audience. Unfortunately they have done many things which we consider inappropriate, including but not limited to abusing their powers as one of the largest ISP's in America by over zealous use of Rolling Black Lists (RBL's) that filter users from legitimate e-mail and web sites. They do this while at the same time allowing select paying e-mail marketers to bypass their filters altogether. This blockage may occur even when their customers specifically request e-mail, such as sales receipts, contact forms, and other legitimate e-mail. All it takes is a single user to complain and the server is blocked for all users.
AOL has recently added a conveniently located button that allows its users to mark certain e-mail a spam. What most users do not realize hitting this button does not simply delete the message... actually this button reports the sender or forwarding server as a source of SPAM, and then blocks other users on the AOL network from receiving all incoming mail from the server. This has serious consequences as our Data Center houses over 100,000 domains! We've have received numerous complaints due our servers being blocked on occasions from unwitting AOL users.
Therefore, due to these recent policies adopted by AOL, We can not support "Forwards" or other automated e-mail deliveries to AOL accounts. It's an understatement to say it would be detrimental to Digital Skyline as a company, as well as to the thousands of web sites on the servers on our network, if a block were to again happen between AOL and the Digital Skyline Network. This is NOT something Digital Skyline is able to risk for the sake of our own prosperity, and that of all our valued members.
"Complaints submitted by AOL members will be used as a basis for refusing connections from any mail server."

If you must send e-mail to AOL, which we perfectly understand because we do ourselves. It is IMPERATIVE that you educate yourself throughoughly about AOL's policies and the actions of the recipient of your message.
If the recipient complains to a provider such as AOL, with the policy as stated above, then you have successfully broken their policy, generated a complaint against Digital Skyline, which then forces us to audit your account, which, will turn into a service restriction placed upon your account. Under no circumstances will Digital Skyline be made liable for problems associated with the policies of third-party networks such as AOL.
It is our policy to advise all AOL customers to demand better service from their providers. Many ISP's exist that not only offer high quality dial-up service, but also do so a much better rates. The learning curve maybe be an issue for some, but once you've got past the initial set up, you will be happy you did!
